The Military Medical Institute with the Central Clinical infirmary of the Ministry of National Defence was established on 27 November 2002 by the Regulation of the Minister of National Defence. It was an component of the reorganization of higher military education on the basis of the Central Clinical infirmary of the Military Medical Academy. On January 27, ceremonies were held on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the Military Medical Institute – National investigation Institute with the participation of the president of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda and the Minister of Defense, Deputy Prime Minister Mariusz Błaszczak.
