After the completion of the Holy Mass in the Warsaw Cathedral of St. John about 20.00 was held as all period a prayer MARSH OF REMEMBER led exclusively by social forces for respective years by Solidarnych2010 - from the Cathedral under the Presidential Palace.
During the March, a full list of Smolensk bombing victims was read and reported in the Polish and English fields, why we have been marching for over 14 years. We can't give up! This is about safety and justice!
The March ended the prayer for the late Majka Dłużewska, the late abruptly known director, documentaryist, independency activist.
After the tragedy in Smolensk in 2010, she began making films and writing books about this event. In “Mgle” (film and book), she focused on showing the disaster itself, in “Pogrze” she showed the tragedy experienced by the families of the victims. “Daughter” was dedicated to the daughter of the presidential couple Lech and Maria Kaczyński, Marcie, “Testament” told about the children of 5 victims of the disaster. The protagonists of the movie and book “Poles” were 4 scientists investigating the causes of the catastrophe. The movie and book “Dam” commemorated the figure of the First Lady, Mari Kaczyńska.
Her death is simply a large failure to Polish culture and to us who knew her and appreciated her for her courage and uncompromisingness and large individual charm.
