Day 781
Today, quite a few information came out from the Siwiersk direction.
Here any of the most intense clashes take place in the Biłohorivka area
A key point in the ongoing conflict became White Mountain on a quarry of chalk, from which the settlement of Biłohorivka was named.
Ukrainian troops stationed at the top of the heap enjoy a considerable tactical advantage, as the advanced terrain allows them to establish effective fire control over the surrounding area, greatly complicating Russian attempts to gain the site.
Therefore, the Russian forces decided to deal with him erstwhile and for all and launched a series of powerful attacks to capture the White Mountain
The elevated positions in the quarry allowed Ukrainians to make full usage of fire control over the area and destruct large Russian assault groups, but despite crucial losses of Russian forces did not quit hope of taking control of the area.
The first step of this offensive operation was to establish control of the tree lines just before the heap.
Russian commanders have seemingly failed to take into account the fact that the mountain is steeply inclined and even if the Russians take positions under it, they will not be able to climb it while the Ukrainians will inactive be able to attack them from its summit.
Therefore, Russian forces were forced to slow decision north along the tree line, under continuous fire from above to approach the lowest part of the mountain.
The Russians have assigned a number of combat infantry and tanks to capture the base.
Their plan was that the infantry's fighting wagons would enter the lower slopes of the heap, descend from the infantry, while the tanks would supply fire support, and then retreat as the infantry would descend from the wagons.
The first Russian assault group consisted of 5 combat infantry wagons BMP-2 and a tank.
They were heading for Bilohoriwa from the direction of Złootariowa.
Unfortunately for the Russians, the Ukrainian reconnaissance drone squad detected them on time and directed artillery and kamikaze drone operators to approach the heap.
Shortly after they were under intense fire, the Russians crossed a road covered with landmines, which had previously been deployed by Ukrainian drones.
This led to the full column being immobilized, exposing it to FPV drones and artillery systems and destroying it.
The remaining Russian soldiers were hunted down and killed in close landowners.
According to Ukrainian sources, Ukrainian forces successfully destroyed 5 armored vehicles, damaged 1 vehicle and killed forty-two Russian soldiers, fundamentally destroying the full platoon.
The attack was effectively repelled by elements of the Ukrainian fifty-fourth Mechanized Brigade and 1 100 and eighteenth Territorial Defence Brigade.
The only vehicle that got out of the Ukrainian death region was a lone tank.
It appears that based on the endurance of 1 Russian tank, Russian commanders considered that tanks would deal better with artillery fire and drone attacks due to their better armor compared to the BWP and sent even more tanks in the second attack.
Nevertheless, the tanks were effectively immobilized, leaving the crew only the ability to escape, and empty tanks were subsequently destroyed by FPV drones.
Seeing that the second storm failed, the Russians decided to deploy the Storm-Z Penal Battalion troops in the 3rd storm in the hope that they would overwhelm the Ukrainian troops with just numbers.
However, the 3rd storm did not bring any results, as only 1 disarmed Russian soldier survived.
One BMP-2 was besides abandoned in the same area and then destroyed by Ukrainians.
Many of Storm-Z soldiers' bodies were lying in the field, but I can't show pictures simply due to the fact that there are besides many dead soldiers.
At this point, the Russians could only send repeated assaults with infantry on board combat infantry wagons in the hope that they would not be detected and destroyed by drone operators en way to the heap.
To increase their chances of success, the Russians sent a smaller 4th assault group consisting of 2 BMPs.
It seems that the Ukrainian reconnaissance squad monitors the area non-stop, as even this tiny unit was detected rather quickly.
