[In July 2023 Slovakia](https://defence24.pl/power-arms/free-jltv-for-slowing) reported acquisition of 160 JLTV tactical vehicles (receiving [in May](https://defence24.pl/power-arms/jltv-for-slowing) to 192 pieces). However, backing for this project, worth USD 190 million, was to take place not with Slovak funds, but with US funds under the abroad Military Financing programme. This was a crucial majority of the funds Slovakia received from the Americans as compensation for supporting Ukraine with various types of equipment.
