The head of British diplomacy Yvette Cooper said on Thursday that her country wants Lebanon to be subject to ceasefire conditions between the US and Iran.
She added that Israeli strikes on Lebanon are "deeply harmful", and that Israel's conflict with Hezbollah had to end so that the truce could be maintained.
"We want Lebanon to be subject to ceasefire," said Cooper in a Thursday interview with Times Radio. She added that London "wants (the truce agreement to be extended) to Lebanon, due to the fact that otherwise the full region will be destabilised". She besides stressed that the Wednesday escalation from Israel in the form of massive attacks on Lebanon was "deeply harmful" and must be discontinued.
