President Joe Biden has authorized the transfer of anti-personnel mines to Ukraine, this is to strengthen the country's defence against Russian attacks, Reuters and The Washington Post report. The paper adds that the mines are "non-permanent" mines that self-destruct or lose their battery charge, reducing the threat to civilians.
