Ukraine has lost more than 40 percent of its territory in Russia's Kursk region, which it rapidly seized in a surprise offensive in August. The losses are the consequence of a wave of counterattacks by Russian forces, a military origin in Ukraine's General Staff said on Saturday, quoted by Reuters.
