The F-35A Lightning II aircraft with number 3516 and the chessboard of Polish air force appeared in Texas sky. This means that the sixteenth Husar produced at American Lockheed Martin facilities passed the test in the air. This is the last device for the Polish Army produced in the USA, another of 32 ordered by Poland F-35 will be installed in Italy.

The first flight of another F-35A aircraft produced for Poland was documented by the American spotter, who posted photos and recordings of the event on social media. The 3516 device took off from the airport at Fort Worth, Texas, where is the main assembly line of F-35 Lightning II aircraft. It was there that Polish F-35 numbers 3501–3516 were produced and tested in the air.

Subsequent machines from 32 ordered by Polish armed forces will be assembled and tested in Italy. At FACO (Final Assembly and Check-Out) Leonardo & Lockheed Martin in Camerai, the final assembly, strategy integration, stealth coatings, tests and lap F-35 is performed before the user is handed over. First “European” Husar with number 3517 took the test flight in late July.

Poland ordered 32 F-35A Lightning II Husarz aircraft under the 2020 agreement. First 3 aircraft with numbers 3509, 3510 and 3511 already serving at 32 Tactical Aviation Base in Grace, and 8 (3501–3508) are utilized to train Polish pilots and technicians at Ebbing Air Base in Fort Smith (Arkansas).

By the end of this year, Poland is to receive eleven more Husars. The deliveries of 2 F-35A squadrons are scheduled to end in 2029. Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of National Defence announced recentlythat the Polish military intends to get another 2 squadrons (32 aircraft) F-35A. This is to be part of the Armed Forces improvement Programme for the years 2025–2039.

F-35A Lightning II is simply a multi-tasking 5th generation combat aircraft combining stealth features with advanced sensors and data exchange systems. It can carry out tasks of air combat, attacks on ground targets, reconnaissance and radio-electronic combat, acting as a "flying command centre" in the modern battlefield. The device enjoys increasing popularity among NATO states and their allies. Poland is 1 of the first fresh European F-35A users and received its aircraft earlier than, for example, Germany or the Czech Republic, which are waiting for the transportation of the first copies.
